What a Weekend!

We had a very busy but fun weekend!  On Saturday, Emma met her first professional sports star - Rob Gronkowski of the New England Patriots!  The local hospital had a Kids' Day with tons of fun activities, and Gronk was the special guest.

He is tall.

Very tall.

Future boyfriend?!

Matt was working at the event, so Emma got to hang out in the back of the ambulance.

On the move!

Emma even saw her pediatrician there and got a Teddy Bear footprint :)

And she made a fun Fourth of July visor.

And we hung out by the fire truck.  We had lots of fun!

Today was Mommy's turn to take Emma splish splashing in the big tub!

She had a great time again and is getting better at kicking and paddling!

Afterwards, we stopped at the diner for brunch.  Emma was ready to eat!

Then after we got home and everyone rested up, we packed up a cooler and went fishing!

I caught this marlin yellow perch!

It's hard to see but it's in my left hand :)

And Matt landed this giant smallmouth bass!  Emma is definitely our good luck charm.

Emma was not afraid to pet the big fishy!

Well, after a very fun and eventful weekend, we made our way back home.

'Til next time!  xo

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day, everyone!  We had a great day today and hope everyone else did too.  Lots of love to Emma's Memere and Grandma!

We have been keeping busy around here as usual.  Last weekend, we participated in the March for Babies with my company to support the March of Dimes. Emma made some new friends and we had a nice walk in Stamford, CT - all for a great cause!

One of her new friends gave her a hat!

This week, Emma and I took a walk to the nearby park and had some fun.

And today, Emma had her first swimming lesson!  She and Dad splashed around for half an hour in a Swim Tots group at a local gym.  There were 8 tots there with their parents, and it was a lot of fun!

They had a few toys to play with, and did some group songs, but mostly everyone could swim around and do what they wanted.

Emma practiced jumping in...

doing the backstroke and floating...

kick kick kicking...

blowing bubbles...

And the doggy paddle!

Matt did a great job with her (as always) and Emma had a blast.  The water was a lot colder than the bathwater that she's used to, so she was a little chilly by the end, but I think she still had a good time.  Can't wait for next week!

Other than that, we had a pretty quiet day since I had my wisdom teeth out yesterday.  We made a lot of jell-o, so I decided to share with Emma.  Anyone remember jell-o jigglers?  :)

Emma had no idea what I was talking about.
(And she had some crazy hair after the dip in the pool.)

Needless to say, she was not a fan of the jell-o, but that's ok.  Good thing she's cute!  ;)
