Keepin' Busy!

Emma has been keeping busy these last few weeks!  But every so often she takes some time to relax on the couch with her feet up.

She always loves hanging with Dad.

And she loves playing with her toys!  She has been grabbing for everything, including her toes, and the toes have found their way into her mouth too!  I just need to catch it on film now.

And she got a fun new hat for the summer.  Stay cool, Emma!
Emma and I decided we wanted to make something special for Daddy's first Father's Day.  Here is the play-by-play of our first art project.  Her expressions are priceless!

(Don't worry, that's just red paint!)

Needless to say, we had a minor meltdown by the end, but I still think she had fun!  And she did a great job, don't you think?

Daddy loved it!

Emma's latest project is working on sitting.  We're getting very close, and she can go a little while by herself...

...but we haven't quite mastered it yet.

And finally, I was just thinking to myself how far she's come with the solid foods and how she barely makes a mess anymore, and then this happened:

She decided she wanted to feed herself now.  Oh well!  That's what tubby time is for.  She's also had pears and plums, and lots of different combinations of all the foods.  De-lish!

Emma is getting bigger and stronger every day.  Her last weigh in was about 2 weeks ago and she was 11 pounds, 13 ounces.  She is staying healthy and doing great!

Hangin' with Dad

Daddy celebrated a birthday a few weeks ago, and Emma helped him blow out the candles!

She wore a new outfit just for him.

And even helped try out one his presents!  Yep, it fits!

We're still having lots of fun with the solid foods.  So far, Emma has tried avocado, banana, sweet potato, peas, carrots, green beans, oatmeal, acorn squash, apples, butternut squash, and peaches.  Yum!!

Have you heard about the new squash facial?  It's all the rage.  It will make you look months younger!

Jumperooing in the rainforest.

Emma is up to 11 pounds, 6 ounces as of Wednesday and is doing great!
