Tubby Time!

We thought Emma looked very sweet in her grown up sweater outfit, but I don't think she agreed.

She prefers her PJ's.

Gettin' ready for tubby time!

She loves splashing around in the tub...

.....but does NOT like when she has to get out.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Everything has been going wonderfully for the little peanut.  She had another follow-up appointment with the retina specialist and he said her eyes look great and there is still no ROP.  She'll have a follow-up with a regular pediatric optometrist in the next couple months to keep an eye on her (no pun intended) but right now she's looking good!  The results of the thyroid tests also came back normal (3 out of the 4 markers; they didn't take enough blood to test the last marker, so she'll need another blood draw - boo!) but I'm pretty confident that will be normal too.  She had an evaluation by a physical therapist today, who thought Emma was looking great, but she'll see her once a month for the next 6 months or so just to monitor her progress and help her along.  So we have lots of appointments and follow-ups but there are really no major issues at all.  She is still gaining weight well and as of Monday she was 8 pounds, 2 ounces!

Too cool for school!  Getting ready for Red Sox games this summer ;-)

Snuggle time with Grampa and Memere!!

Emma needed some new hats to fit on her big ol' noggin.  She wanted to make sure they matched her outfit too.

Wheeeeeeeee!!

Snuggle Time

Emma has had an exciting few days.  On Monday, we took a trip to the doctor's office.  Emma had lots of labwork done when she was in the hospital, and when she was first born there were some anomalies with some of her thyroid hormones (because she was a 23-weeker).  The bloodwork kept improving as she got older, so this appointment was with an endocrine specialist just to do some final testing to make sure everything is normal.  She had to have blood drawn and was not very happy about it, but she was very brave.

She also got weighed and measured, and for her adjusted age (about a month old), Emma's length is in the 25th percentile, her weight is in the 50th percentile, and her head circumference is in the 95th percentile!!  She's going to be a smart cookie with that big head of hers!

Grandma and Grampa R. came by for a visit and some snuggle time with the peanut!

Peekaboo!  Getting ready for the trip to the doctor.

Hanging with Aunt Lindsay!  Such pretty ladies.

Got Tickets?

To the gun show, of course.

Today, Emma and I practiced push-ups.  She did a lot more than me.
